On a nice September day I started my long planned journet to Pleven and Vidin, driving via the Danube Plain and I found myself in Byla a town famous for its bridge built during the governorshp of Mithat Paşa in 1867. The architect was a local master named Kolyo Ficheto. The stone bridge over Yantra river was quite extraordinary containing elements of mythical animals and creatures.
